Enjoying beautiful fall days in Taiwan!

View of Taipei from Zac's bike rides in the mountains.
The view from a fun Thanksgiving hike with friends on a beautiful day!

On our hike, we came across this temple.  Taiwanese religion is very syncretistic.  As you can see, this temple has Buddha, another Chinese goddess, and dragons, which are more Taoist/animistic, all in the same temple.  There are more than 5000 active temples in Taiwan.

We also came across prayer flags, which are more typical in Buddhist Tibet.
We ended our hike at these hot springs, a reminder that where we had walked all day was once an active volcano.  This water is around 195 degrees Fahrenheit.
