A different kind of Easter...

For Spring break, we had a week off before Easter, so we decided to take a little road trip 6 hours south to visit some beautiful beaches in Agadir. We enjoyed beautiful walks along the beach, yummy ice cream, fun in the sun on the beach and in the pool, good times with friends and we even got some nice surf! It was a much needed break:)

On Easter morning, we woke up before sunrise (as usual:) and went on the roof on a cloudy, cold day and spent some time reading the story together as a family. We all took turns praying together and it is always so special to hear the kids prayers. It was a beautiful morning, especially in the midst of a somewhat stormy season. It is good to remember who is the giver of life!

In this country, lots of activities happen on the roof, it's almost like a patio where laundry is hung, people gather for holidays, etc.
Some friends invited us for an Easter egg hunt on the roof. The kids all had fun and it didn't seem to matter that it was on the roof or not, although the hunt didn't last very long as it was difficult to actually "hide" the eggs, as you can imagine.
This is the lovely view of the city from the roof:)
